$4,000 Donated to Local Community Programs

At our October meeting, the Udora Leaskdale Lions Club approved significant donations to support local programs. We donated $1,000 each to the Georgina and Uxbridge Food Banks, $500 to Morning Glory School's Breakfast Program, and $500 to Scott Central School's Snack Program.

Additionally, we approved a $1,500 sponsorship for the Georgina Bulldogs Baseball Team, demonstrating our commitment to supporting youth sports in our community.

Family Fun Day 2025 Great Success

Our September Family Fun Day was a huge success with excellent community turnout! Activities included face painting, balloon creations, Zoo to You presentations, and visits from York Region's Community Police Car. We served 180 hot dogs with food and drinks generously donated by local businesses.

It was a wonderful day of family entertainment while bringing our community together.

Lace Up for Diabetes Raises $3,020

Our Lace Up for Diabetes event was a great success, raising $3,020 for diabetes research and support programs. Thank you to all participants who helped make this fundraising walk a success at the Estonian Children's Camp.

New Officers Installed for 2025-26

We're pleased to announce the installation of our new officers for the 2025-26 Lions year! Past International Director Lion Tom Gordon conducted the installation ceremony at our September 2nd meeting.

Our new leadership team includes President Randy Wilkins, 1st Vice President Russ Burton, Secretary Robert Einarson, Treasurer David Minns, and several dedicated directors. We look forward to another successful year of community service under their guidance.

New Trees Planted in Leaskdale Park

As part of our ongoing community beautification efforts, the club has planted two new trees in Leaskdale Park. This $2,779 investment in our community will provide shade and enhance the park environment for generations to come.

The trees are part of our commitment to environmental stewardship and creating beautiful spaces for our community to enjoy.

Family Fun Day

Our annual Family Fun Day was a great success! Thank you to all the families who joined us for a day of games, food, and community spirit. We raised over $2,500 for local charities and had a wonderful time bringing the community together.

Activities included face painting, bouncy castle, BBQ lunch, and various games for all ages. Special thanks to our volunteers who made this event possible.

Donation to Diabetes Canada

The Udora Leaskdale Lions Club is proud to announce a donation of $5,000 to Diabetes Canada. This contribution will help support research and programs that assist people living with diabetes in our community and beyond.

This donation was made possible through our fundraising efforts throughout the year, including our popular Spaghetti Dinner events.

North Country Meats Fundraiser
