Adventure for a Cause

The annual Canoe River Run combines outdoor adventure with community fundraising. Join us for a scenic paddle down local waterways while supporting Lions Club community service projects. It's a perfect day for families, outdoor enthusiasts, and anyone looking to enjoy nature while making a difference.


Event Details

When

Date: First Saturday in May
Time: Registration starts at 8:00 AM
Duration: Full day event (8 AM - 4 PM)

Where

Start: Zephyr Road west of Concession 6
Finish: Community Park next to Pefferlaw Dam
Route: 14 km on the scenic local river system

  • Canoe rental (2-person canoes available)
  • Paddles and safety equipment

Safety Information

Safety is our top priority. All participants receive a comprehensive safety briefing before departure.

Requirements

  • Swimming Ability: All participants must be comfortable in water
  • Age Restrictions: Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult
  • Health: Participants should be in reasonable physical condition
  • Weather: Event may be cancelled due to severe weather conditions

Registration typically opens 3 months before the event. Early registration is recommended as this popular event often sells out.
